Survey of Western art from the sixth to the early nineteenth centuries: Medieval through the Romantic periods. A third semester design studio course in a sequence that expands upon fundamental architectural principles and concepts within architecture and design. Students focus on urban analysis and design process, program, site and place in response to increasingly complex project requirements.

Introduces cultural anthropology through the focus on cultures in the United States. The course also investigates aspects of the sociocultural structures of the United States such as inequality, power, race/ethnicity, kinship, gender, and globalization. Ethnographic studies, history, literature, film, and music are used to illustrate the ways that people living in the United States negotiate cultural values and confront social conflict.

Communicative intermediate English language skills, computer vocabulary, and terminology used in the digital workplace environment. Computer applications for documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and data management with ESL language support. Additional focus on language development necessary for following procedures, problem-solving, and describing charts and graphs.
