A collaboration between the San Francisco VA Health Care System and City College of San Francisco (CCSF), the Student Veteran Health Program (SVHP) began in August 2010 and has led the nation in providing an array of comprehensive services to student veterans on campus. Our Student Veteran Health Program Team consists of SF VA Health Care Enrollment Services, Social Work and Psychiatry.

We understand you can’t do your best work as a student when you’re hungry, so we have relaunched our snack shelves at various locations around campus and centers with nutritious ready-to-eat snacks for students experiencing food insecurities.

The student chefs of the Culinary Arts & Hospitality department: create, prepare, cook and serve ALL of the food produced in the Main Cafeteria and our Quick Service restaurant. These are our hands-on labs to practice what we learn in the classroom. In an effort to expose our students to different cultural &  ethnic food styles, the Quick Service space, our lab, will regularly reinvent itself.

The Wellness Center was completed in 2008 and replaces the North and South Gyms. It houses state-of-the-art exercise equipment, gymnasium and pool. City College’s Wellness Center creates a first-ever front door for the campus on busy Ocean Avenue. Stepping up its hillside site, it welcomes thousands of students a day who arrive from the Balboa BART station, ushering them into the activity-filled building or up the grand lobby staircase and out onto the campus.

Design features of the Wellness center include:
