Scholarships are provided to City College of San Francisco students by the generosity of foundations, corporations, and individual donors. Generally, scholarships are awarded to students with special qualifications, such as academic achievement, artistic abilities, demonstrated leadership and athletic talents, or to students who are in particular fields of study, who are from a particular heritage, who are members
of underrepresented groups, or who demonstrate a financial need.

Paying for the cost of a college education requires a partnership among parents, students and the college. Each partner has responsibilities to fulfill in meeting that cost.

Financial aid is money that helps pay for the cost of education (college fees, books and supplies). City College of San Francisco (CCSF) participates in most Federal and State financial aid programs. The school code is 012874.

Project SHINE is a service-learning program that links student volunteers from City College of San Francisco with immigrant and elderly students in non-credit ESL classrooms. Interviews to be a SHINE coach/volunteer begin within the first 2–3 weeks every school semester. No experience is necessary. This program is designed to accommodate students with little or no volunteer experience. The interview is when we sit down with you, and we find an appropriate non-credit ESL class that will fit into your schedule.

All CCSF students can access live online tutoring through NetTutor’s trained tutors. NetTutor tutors are available for live sessions, to answer submitted questions, and to review papers any day of the week. Online tutoring services can be accessed anywhere.

Please visit the Site Link and you will see a "NetTutor online guide" for how to access and navigate the platform.
