Petition for Graduation (Request Your Degree)

As a CCSF student, you are responsible for having your records reviewed, in order to verify that you have completed all the requirements to earn a degree.  You need to submit a graduation petition, even if you are not participating in the commencement ceremony.  It is the only way your degree will be posted on your official transcript.

How to Submit a Graduation Petition

  1. Meet with your counselor regularly and prior to submission of your graduation petition, in order to confirm you have fulfilled all degree requirements
  2. Complete the Petition for Associate Degree (AA/AA-T/AS/AS-T) graduation petition form with a counselor
  3. Submit the completed form to graduate@ccsf.edu or the Admissions & Records/Registration office in MUB (Multi-Use Building) 188.

Graduation Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you need to see a counselor before submitting a graduation petition for review and to confirm all requirements have been fulfilled.

Please bring the denied petition to a counselor, who will explain why it was denied and advise on what needs to be addressed.

Please complete a “Request for Duplicate Diploma" form, which can be submitted to graduate@ccsf.edu or Admission & Records (MUB 188) with a copy of your photo ID.

You start the IGETC certification process by seeing a counselor at the Transfer Center.  The counselor approves/signs all the IGETC paperwork, which is then submitted to A&R for final processing.
