What is the $2 Student Representation Fee?
In accordance with Assembly Bill 1504, the Student Representation Fee is a voluntary two dollar ($2.00) donation collected at the time of registration for each enrolled student for purposes of providing student governmental affairs representatives the means to state their positions and viewpoints before city, county, district, state, and federal government as well as other public agencies. The Student Representation Fee was originally initiated in an effort to support a system-wide student organization for the California community colleges similar to other system-wide student associations, i.e. the University of California Student Association (UCSA) and the California State Student Association (CSSA), as well as other official student representative activities.
$1 of this fee goes to support the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC), and $1 is used by student representatives at CCSF to advocate for student needs at the local, state, and federal levels.
If you wish to opt out of paying this fee, please complete the Request to Reverse the Student Representation Fee form and submit to the Student Activities Office for processing.
