Upcoming City DREAM Workshops & Events

From Monday, October 14 to Thursday, October 17, the program “City DREAM” alongside the institution will celebrate Undocumented Student Action Week. It will include:

Monday 10/14/2024: Mindfulness Monday. 12PM-3PM. Cloud Garden, Flag Poles. 55 Frida Kahlo Way, San Francisco, CA 94112. This activity will be led by City DREAM Student Fellows to facilitate the sharing of mindfulness practices using our community wellness wall. 

Tuesday 10/15/2024: UndocuAlly Pt. 2. 1:30PM-2:45PM. MUB 140. 55 Frida Kahlo Way, San Francisco, CA 94112. UndocuAlly training is designed to practice allyship through awareness, reflection and action by addressing the day to day challenges that undocumented students face in their mental well-being, academic, and professional lives. We will have a student panel to highlight the student experience through financial aid, navigational access, and career development.

Wednesday 10/16/2024: Community outreach at CCSF Mission Center.  4PM-7PM. CCSF Mission Center lobby. 125 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA 94110. Tabling for City DREAM to help connect Mission Center students to City DREAM staff and resources. 

Thursday 10/17/2024: Know Your Rights Presentation. 9AM-10AM. Cloud Hall 306. 55 Frida Kahlo Way, San Francisco, CA 94112. The presentation will be led by the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area to teach students about their rights, regardless of immigration status. 

Upcoming UndocuAlly Trainings

UndocuAlly trainings provides the participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to become active allies for undocumented students, student from mixed status families and all students affected by immigration and citizenship issues. The trainings seek teach on terminology, the history of undocumented students at CCSF, relevant legislation, and current realities of the undocumented community. This UndocuAlly training is part of The C.A.R.E. collective.
