College reading, writing, and critical thinking with a major research component. Reading, writing, and research assignments are based predominantly on non-fiction texts.

IMPORTANT: This section of 1A is linked to 1AS, a support course that offers additional class time and an assigned tutor. Both sections (CRNs 32391 and 32610) MUST be added together. This section is an in-person class with scheduled meetings at Ocean campus. This section requires the use of Canvas. Coursework is completed on Canvas using an internet enabled device.
