The Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) is one of the special services provided to EOPS students who are receiving benefits through CalWORKS/TANF. The EOPS CARE program provides additional counseling, food card services, educational grants (dependent upon available funding), workshops and other services to eligible students.
CARE Eligibility
To be eligible for CARE services, you must also be eligible for EOPS and meet all of the additional CARE criteria:
- Must be an EOPS student
- Must be a single head of household who has been determined by the State Department of Social Services to lack marketable employment skills
- Must be receiving TANF/CalWORKs (formerly AFDC) county cash aid for self or child(ren)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
How to Receive CARE Services
You must first apply and be eligible for EOPS to be determined eligible for CARE. Once in EOPS, please visit the EOPS office for a CARE application form.
