Support for students who are concurrently enrolled in MATH 80, Probability and Statistics. Topics include concepts and skills from arithmetic, pre-algebra, elementary and intermediate algebra, and descriptive statistics that are needed to understand the basics of college-level statistics. Concepts are taught in the context of the linked Math 80 course.
This is the co-requisite support class for Math 80 section S61. Both sections (CRNs 32861 and 33160) MUST be added together. Course policies are the same for both courses. This class will be held in person at the Ocean campus. Focus: Women's and Gender Studies. Emphasis on examining how society shapes women's views towards math. Use of math examples related to women's lives. Students can email the instructor with questions at cheimer@ccsf.edu before the semester begins.
