A general survey of the basic principles of genetics and organic evolution with a historical perspective. Classical genetics, molecular genetics, population genetics and evolution, current genetic research and technologies.
BIO 51 is a fully online course with no required class meetings. Students will complete coursework in Canvas which requires an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 16 weeks. BIO 51 will be using Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) instructional materials developed by the instructor and is free of charge to students.
