This course offers an introduction to the applied and theoretical principles of the wellness and recovery model. The course emphasizes consumer-directed services, action planning, documentation, systems navigation, trauma informed care, crisis management and counseling skills.
This class requires live online meetings and the use of Canvas. Live online meetings take place on select Tuesdays: 2/6, 2/20, 2/27, 3/12, and 3/19 from 5:10 – 7:00pm and require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 8 weeks.
