Emergency care for one and two-rescuer adult, child, and infant CPR with bag mask ventilation and AED. First aid for the sick and injured including care of life-threatening, medical, environmental, and traumatic emergencies. Standard first aid, CPR, and AED certification(s) granted upon successful completion of requirements.
This class is part of CityOnline and has a shorter semester (8 Weeks). EMT 14-Sec 962 requires in-person meetings, live online meetings, and the use of Canvas. Two in-person meetings will take place on Friday, 5/3/24 and 5/10/24 from 9:10 am - 4:00 pm at the John Adams Campus. Students need to wear comfortable clothing for the two in-person meetings. Live online meetings will take place on Fridays from 9:10 am - 4:00 pm and requires the use of CityZoom. Zoom's web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. For course details, students must check the instructor's website.
