Principles and practice in the planning, facilitation and evaluation of public health education and trainings. This course covers basic theories and participatory training methods, with a focus on meeting the needs of diverse communities and adult learners.
This class requires live online meetings and the use of Canvas with no required in-person meetings. Coursework on Canvas starts prior to the first Zoom meeting. Live online meetings take place on select Thurdays: 9/5, 9/19, 10/3, 10/17, 10/31, 11/14, 12/5, 12/19 from 5:10pm-8pm and require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 16 weeks.
