Catalog Description
Prepares students for Community Health Worker (CHW) positions in the health and social service fields. The course emphasizes skill development in areas such as cultural humility and client-centered assessment, health education and counseling.

This class requires in-person meetings, live online meetings and the use of Canvas. Live online meetings take place on Mondays from 6:10pm-8:00pm and require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device.
