Reading & Writing Support

The Reading & Writing Center (RWC) provides tutoring, resources and support for any stage of the reading and writing process: understanding assignments, texts, and main ideas, gathering evidence, brainstorming, developing an argument, planning an outline, developing a thesis, revising, and proofreading.

How Would You Like the Reading & Writing Center to Support You Today?

  • Receive tutoring assistance from a Reading & Writing Center tutor by coming in person to R205 or logging into Penji for online drop-in tutoring (we only provide drop-in tutoring; no appointments).
  • When using Penji, be sure you are in the "Reading & Writing Center" and choose "View Drop-In Tutoring" and then choose your "class type."
  • No available tutors? Try NetTutor, a 3rd party vendor with tutors who are available for live sessions, to answer submitted questions, and to review papers any day of the week. Students can access up to 15 hours of tutoring through NetTutor each semester.
  • Please note that our services may not be fully accessible to all students and may need to be supplemented with additional resources and services for students with disabilities.
