Mandatory Sexual Harassment Training
In 2018, Gov. Brown signed SB 1343, a bill that became law, requiring that all employers with at least 5 employees to take Sexual Harassment Training – 2 hours for supervisors, 1 hour for non-supervisor employees. Although originally the bill required that this training be provided by December 31, 2019, Gov. Newsom has since signed SB 778, an amendment to SB 1343, requiring that this training now be completed by December 31, 2020. Once ALL College employees complete this initial training by the December 31, 2020, the College will thereafter be required to offer this training every two years.
