This introductory Ethnic Studies course examines how Asian Americans have turned to a wide range of cultural productions such as music, performance arts, visual culture, film, digital/internet cultures, and transnational productions to engage in antiracist and anti-colonial practices, contesting and reconstructing ethnic and racial identity for a just and equitable society.
AFAM 30 is an Ethnic Studies course that focuses on W. E. B. Dubois' term "The Souls of Black Folk." Using frameworks of race and ethnicity, students will gain a critical understanding of the complex expressions of what African American people think, feel, and imagine in their conscious existence, historically and geographically.

Study and analysis of the core principles and components of the American criminal justice system (police, courts, and corrections), the evolution of criminal justice, criminal behavior theory, crime categories, policing models, challenges in policing, and career opportunities.

Analysis of various file systems and specialized diagnostic software to retrieve data. Prepares in part for CompTIA Security+ and maps to Computer Investigation Specialists exam.
