Basic theories underlying intermediate diagnostic imaging procedures. Relationships of clinical indications, patient demographics, special precautions, accessory equipment, and patient positioning.
Registry Exam & Career Prep
Consolidation of Diagnostic Medical Imaging topics designed to prepare students for the certification examination in Radiography administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Advanced Imaging Procedures
Fundamentals of Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Emphasis on physics, patient care and professionalism.
Radl Anatomy and Positioning
Anatomy and positioning of the axial and appendicular skeleton (except skull) and internal organs. Preliminary steps in radiographic positioning and equipment, radiation protection, patient relations, first aid and standard precautions as it pertains to radiographic examinations.
Mammography
Focuses on patient interactions, management, image acquisition, quality assurance, positioning/procedures, and pathology specific to mammography. This course meets the 16 hours of structured education required by the ARRT and 40 hours of structured education required by the CDPH-RHB.

Clinical Education Internship Summer Bridge
Summer bridge internship semester of clinical education in a hospital radiology department. Placement is determined by the Program Officials. Performance of clinical internship competencies including those not completed in DMI 68. On-site meetings with CCSF faculty.
