Instructor Bio

Tim Harrington is a Southern California native with a BFA in Art from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona (including a year of international studies at the University of Western Sydney) and an MFA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. He teaches a variety of subjects in CCSF's Visual Media Design department including Graphic Design, Package Design, Information Design, 2D Animation, Portfolio Preparation and others.

Professor Harrington has worked as a professional visual designer for over 20 years for clients including THQ, Disney, Vivendi/Universal, Amnesty International, the City of San Francisco and a variety of large and small local businesses. Before becoming a tenured faculty member at CCSF he helped develop the Graphic Design program at BAYCAT, a San Francisco-based community studio that provides career pathways for local youth interested in digital media.
