Drop-ins are welcome at the LINK CENTER, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:10 AM to 11:00 AM, as well as by appointment. The Link Center is open during spring and fall semesters, Monday through Thursday, 10:10 AM to 5 PM.

Semester plan for the Community Health Worker (CHW) program

Semester 1 courses:

  • HLTH 59 (1 unit) Intro to the CHW Field

  • 1 to 4 units of elective courses 

    • Electives can be taken any semester.  Total of 3-units required for CHW 

Semester 2 courses:

  • HLTH 201 (5 units) CHW Principles & Practice 1

  • 1 to 4 units of elective courses 

Semester 3 courses:

  • HLTH 202 (5 units) CHW Principles & Practice 2

  • HLTH 203 (2 units) CHW Professional Skills

  • HLTH 203W (2 units) CHW Internship Placement

Andrew is an eco-cleanup enthusiast and peer supporter in community mental health. Andrew provides staff support for the Community Health Worker (CHW) program and the Link Center, a peer-run resource center and learning lab.
