Catalog Description

A scientific approach to the study of behavior and mental processes designed for both majors and non-majors. Topics include research methods, biology of behavior, sensation and perception, learning, memory, lifespan development, motivation, emotion, personality theories, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and psychotherapy.

Section Notes

PSYC 1-Sec 981 has two scheduled in-person meeting on Zoom on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 6-7PM and Monday, June 30, 2025, from 6-7PM. Enrolled students will be sent a Zoom link and are required to attend in order to stay enrolled in the class. Students seeking to add the class may also attend. This class requires use of Canvas. Students will complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet-enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 6 weeks.
