This course addresses professional skills required in the workplace and is an integral part of the Healthcare Interpreting Certificate program. Students focus on a seamless integration of interpreting skills, knowledge of special populations, systems, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards, and the role of advocacy.
This class requires in-person, live online meetings and the use of Canvas. In-person meetings will take place on Thursdays from 5:10pm - 8:00pm at Ocean Campus. Live online meetings take place on 1/23 and 2/27 from 5:10pm - 8:00pm and require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device.
