The origin and evolution of life on Earth and the possibility of life elsewhere in the Universe. Applying the disciplines of astronomy, biology, and planetary science, students study the chemical and biological basis for life, limits of life on Earth, and techniques used to search for life beyond Earth.
This class is part of CityOnline and has a shorter semester (12 Weeks). ASTR 4-Sec 932 has no scheduled in-person meetings. Online office hours requires the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. All coursework is completed on Canvas using an internet enabled device.
