Catalog Description

Basic concepts of general, organic, and biological chemistry as they apply to the human body. No previous chemistry required. Satisfies the requirements of nursing and related majors that require one semester of chemistry.

Section Notes

This hybrid section requires in-person meetings and the use of Canvas. The listed 3-hour time slot is for mandatory in-person lab meetings, which take place at Ocean Campus. The one in-person lecture listing is for a mandatory midterm. Students must also be available for an additional date (TBD) for the in-person final exam. Lectures will be asynchronous through pre-recorded videos. Students will complete and submit coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device.
