Catalog Description

Introduction to gerontology for students pursuing careers in the aging field and those who will work with older adults in various work settings. Employs a multidisciplinary perspective, incorporating biology, psychology, sociology, and public health approaches and combining gerontology theory, research, and practice with social justice and multicultural perspectives.

Section Notes

This class requires one mandatory live online meeting and the use of Canvas with no required in-person meetings. The live online meeting takes place on Tuesday, 9/2 from 5:40pm-6:30pm and require the use of CityZoom, Zoom’s web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 16 weeks.
