Catalog Description

This course is an introduction to government and politics in the United States and California. Students examine the constitutions, structure, and operation of governing institutions, civil liberties and civil rights, political behaviors, political issues, and public policy using political science theory and methodology.

This class is part of CityOnline and has a shorter semester (16 Weeks). This class requires in-person meetings and the use of Canvas. In-person meetings will take place on Mondays from 9:10 am-10:25 am at Ocean Campus. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device.
