Basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide lifesaving interventions and assist higher level Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel at the scene and during transport and perform basic interventions with minimal equipment. Meets national EMS education standards for Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) level training.
This class requires in-person meetings and the use of Canvas. In-person meetings will take place on Wednesdays from 11:10 am – 2:15 pm on the Ocean Campus in Batmale 222. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 16 weeks.
