Catalog Description
Mid-intermediate training in written and spoken Mandarin with emphasis on reading, speaking, and composition. Linguistic ability in both English and Chinese are used as a basis for increasing vocabulary and enhancing reading and writing skills through short stories, poems, and compositions.

Requisites
Recommended Preparation, CHIN 4 or demonstration of oral fluency in a Chinese dialect (including standard Mandarin) and knowledge of 450 Chinese characters
