Introduction to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) including the history of EMS development, medical legal issues in emergency care, health and safety of the paramedic, principles of EMS research, procedural skills of patient assessment, and advanced airway management.

EMTP 121 requires in-person meetings and the use of Canvas. In-person meetings will take place on Wednesdays from 9:10am to 12:15pm at the John Adams Center. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of CityOnline and is 16 weeks.
