Development of intermediate English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills that support a successful job search for non-native English-speaking students. Emphasis is on the English required to describe job qualifications and successfully network and interview for jobs. This is the second of two courses in the ESL job search series.
This course is part of the two-semester ESL Vocational Office Training Program (VOTP). Application to the program begins in mid-November or mid-April. Fully Online Class (on Canvas & Zoom): This full term class, 08/17/24-12/20/24, is part of CityOnline, which requires the use of Canvas and Zoom. Students complete coursework and communicate with their teacher and classmates online through Canvas. Live online class meetings via Zoom are scheduled as stated in the class schedule, using an internet-enabled device such as a computer or smartphone. Internet access is required.
