The STAR Center is a resource hub that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment for students with diverse learning preferences, identities, abilities, backgrounds, and experiences. The STAR Center offers both online and in-person tutoring services for a wide range of subjects. Below are three options for accessing tutoring:

In-Person Tutoring at the STAR Center (Ocean and Mission)

Meet with a CCSF tutor in person to review your homework or prepare for an upcoming exam. Drop-in visits are welcomed and encouraged; no appointments are necessary. Review the subjects available for Tutoring and the tutors' schedules.

City College Tutors Online

While in a Canvas course, go to the Course Navigation Menu and click on Tutoring. You may meet with a tutor from the STAR Center, Math Lab, or Computer Science Squad.  You may make an appointment to connect with a CCSF tutor via Zoom. Appointments are typically 30-40 minutes in length, and students may book up to two appointments per week for a class.

NetTutor

For evening and weekend tutoring support, students may connect with a tutor through NetTutor.  Students have 15 hours of tutoring through NetTutor each semester. To access tutoring through NetTutor, go to the Course Navigation Menu in Canvas and click on NetTutor.

If you have any questions, please email tutoring@ccsf.edu.
