The mission of the Homeless At-Risk Transitional Students Program is to remove barriers to academic success for students who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing housing insecurity.

We provide student-centered support:

  • Priority course registration
  • Academic advisement/counseling
  • Meal voucher program
  • Supplemental textbook assistance
  • Discounted monthly transportation passes
  • On-campus shower access
  • Clothing closet
  • Computer lab with limited free printing
  • Annual Pacific Bell Stepping Stone Scholarship award
  • Needs assessments for resource and service referrals 
  • Provide information on local homeless service providers
  • Assist with accessing a 90 day shelter bed
  • Access point to the Food Shelf pilot program
  • Housing leads when available
  • Provide a trauma informed safe space on campus where services are delivered in ways that nurture community and facilitate a sense of belonging
